Shipping and Return Policy for FeatherHeads

 

 
 
  •  Shipping Information for items other than cages (see cage shipping below)

     Orders shipped by FeatherHeads are sent by FedEx Ground or US Postal Service Priority Mail.  We make every effort to ship within 48 hours.  If your order cannot be shipped within the 48 hours, you will be notified. 

     Certain large items such as 20# and larger bags of food may be shipped directly from the Distributor and will usually ship by UPS.

     Shipments to continental US

     Shipping on all orders within the continental US is $10.00.   If part of an order is out of stock when the initial items are shipped, the remainder of the order will be shipped at no charge. 

     The map below provides estimated delivery times for shipping within the continental US.  These estimates are provided by FedEx.  FeatherHeads is not responsible for failures by FedEx to meet their estimated shipping times .

    Please note:

     The map above is a general representation of transit times for FedEx Ground shipments to commercial destinations. In limited areas, transit times may differ between shipments to commercial and residential destinations. For specific transit time information from one ZIP/Postal code to another, please go to Get Rates & Transit Times under the Ship tab on fedex.com.

     FedEx Ground business days are Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). FedEx Home Delivery business days are Tuesday through Saturday (excluding holidays).

     Example: A package shipped via FedEx Ground on Monday with a transit schedule of 2 business days, (not including the day the package is shipped) would be expected for delivery on Wednesday. A package shipped on Friday with a 2-day transit schedule would be expected for delivery the following Tuesday.

     Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii and Puerto Rico

     Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are $20.00.  Orders may be held until all items are available for shipment.  Certain items are not available for shipment outside the continental US.  You will be notified via e-mail concerning any items which cannot be shipped.

     Shipping Exceptions

     FedEx orders are insured and can be tracked throughout the shipment.  Customers should note that once a package is noted in tracking information as "delivered," FeatherHeads cannot accept responsibility for that package in the event of loss or theft, etc.  Customers must then file a claim with the carrier.  In the event that a package is lost by the carrier, FeatherHeads will replace the items shipped. You must notify FeatherHeads within 15 days of the estimated delivery date.

     FeatherHeads is not responsible for losses due to customer failure to provide accurate address information, including street numbers, apartment and suite numbers, etc.  All orders must include a phone number.

     FeatherHeads does not accept orders for delivery to PO boxes.

     Shipping outside U.S. 

    All such orders will be handled on an individual basis.  FeatherHeads reserves the right to refuse any order outside the US.  Shipping charges will be assessed at actual charges for the shipping method available.

    Cage Shipping

     All cages will be drop shipped directly from the manufacturer.  All claims for loss or damage must be filed with the manufacturer.  Claims for missing or damages parts must be filed with the manufacturer.  Manufacturers may require proof of the claim such as pictures of the problem.

     NOTE:  Most manufacturers require that all packaging and shipping materials are retained by the customer until the claim process is concluded. 

     Large cages may be shipped via truck.  Shipping does not include delivery inside the house. 

  • Automatic Delivery Programs

     FeatherHeads can arrange to have certain food items delivered on a regular basis.  Harrison's, Roudybush, Volkmann, Zupreem, and Goldenfeast  as well as bulk food items are available for the program.    Arrange for automatic delivery on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly schedule.  Insure that you always have a fresh supply of quality food available.
